Buttons, buttons everywhere....

Sorry I havent blogged for a bit, but Im in the middle of sorting out just some of the new poppicrafts stock. Lots of yummy buttons, ribbons and ribbon kits and of course brads, brads and more brads. You know me, I do like a brad or two....
So as a result I havent got any cards to show im afraid.

On thursday Poppi went to Pre-school for a taster day, she will be going a couple of days a week, as of next week. As I left she gave me a kiss and said "see you later mummy" as though it was nothing, but to me it is - I had a lump in my throat, for my little baby has grown up. On the other hand I am so pleased that She absolutely loved it. Me and mum went along to collect her and we were peeking through the window - they had a music lesson, so they were all dancing and Poppi was copying all the other children with her little nervous face but also with the hugest smile from ear to ear. She is the youngest in the group and looked all ikkle, but as soon as we got home, she asked when she would be going back. Where does the time go? It feels like yesterday she was born and already she is telling me she is ready for big school. She is really excited for next week and keeps telling Riley that she is "growed up too." Im glad that I decided to take her, as she really does need to be mixing with children of her own age, but a little piece of me is sad.

Hope your having a great weekend. Who knows I may have some cards to show next week.

I am loving the buttons and ribbons Mich so I will be on the website to get some xxx

Re little dink's first big girl day at school, oh I had a lump in my throat reading it cos I know how you feel. Part of you wants them to be all independent and have a great time but there is a little tiny part of you that wants them to miss you. I remember crying all the way home when my Nicola had her first half day, cos she looked so small but she just skipped off in and never looked back - it broke my heart. It's worse I think with your youngest. They grow up so quickly, especially now, which is why we must cherish every second of their all too brief childhoods. It sounds like she had a whale of a time and it's brilliant that she is looking forward to going for another visit. Awww bless her little heart. And yours too for being a lovely Mummy. I've gone all soppy now lol xxxxx

Wow -more for buttonzandbradz to buy!!!!! Hope they'll be on sale soon! I'm salivating.

Ditto what Dawny said -oohhh the lump in the throat at your story. My eldest is now 15 and 6ft3, playing rugby for the Swiss under 17's, always filthy, injured and... happy! And it seems like two minutes since that tiny six lb baby fitted from my elbow to my wrist!!!!!

I guess we all feel very similar about our kids' growing independence. Next year Ben will be eligible to start driving......

Lovely lovely buttons, ever since I was little I have loved buttons. My mum kept a great big tin full of them. I was allowed to sit on the floor and play with them. I am a simple soul!!!

Little Poppi, I felt a little sad to....I did when you started school and I felt the same when we saw little Poppi thru the window. But this is such an important stage of their little life. Standing alone without Mum holding their little hand. Your children are a credit to you Mich, just swallow hard and smile.

aw bless you Michelle,We still get like that with our chilren....but like you say half of you knows it`s right ...and it`s time for them to go...but it`s the letting go bit that hurts us...I still want to and always will want to protect my children from everything...but have to stand back and let them find their own feet....(Ones 26 yrs and ones 25 yrs...lol)... I think it`s intinct in us to be sooo passionate about our children...bless you she will be fine:)like Dawny said your a lovely Mummy:)
